TRAINING

Being a youth pastor is a role that includes both training and mentoring (of both youth, and also volunteer leaders). But I've also done lots of other training in a wide variety of situations.

When working with Scripture Union SA, much of my work involved coordinating and sometimes personally leading teams of volunteers. This required me being able to train others in our "Childsafe" program. It also often involved making volunteers ready to work with at risk youth. I've also written and run seminars for camps and conferences on drama, scriptwriting, social justice issues, relationships, leading small groups, theology, and many other topics.

Recently - since Covid 19 hit, I've also been coaching - and recording training videos - for church volunteers on running Zoom meetings and preparing video content for the web. An example is below - a video running volunteers through the process of converting a video of a church service into a compact format for web upload.
